For the last several decades, contemporary Chinese photographer Wang Qingsong has been exploring the concept of evolution and how it affects culture in small communities as well as on a global scale. Inspired by the Qingsong exhibit, this special musical program included folk music from around the world, taking listeners on a kaleidoscopic journey through time and space with music by American composer Lou Harrison, Turkish composer Erberk Eryilmaz, and Iranian composer Aftab Darvishi, among others.
