Portraits and Pictures, an Art of Elan performance at The San Diego Museum of Art, was inspired by the incredibly life-like oil paintings of local artist Carlo Miranda and his exhibition at The San Diego Museum of Art, Carlo Miranda: In Search of Sonder. This diverse musical program was a mosaic of sounds, drawing from a myriad of musical traditions, histories and cultures, and featured the internationally renowned Formosa Quartet, along with San Diego Symphony musicians Andrew Hayhurst and Jeremy Kurtz-Harris.
