Spanish multidisciplinary artist Ana de Alvear’s contemporary work shifts perceptions and perspectives in a way that’s both subtle and transformative. A search for identity pervades her multifaceted projects. Her work and her upcoming exhibit is explored through this 15-minute video performance by Art of Elan musicians, including Executive and Artistic Director Kate Hatmaker, featuring the haunting “Spectra” for violin, viola, and cello by Icelandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir. This is the San Diego premiere of this atmospheric work, filmed safely at The San Diego Museum of Art.
