Art of Elan, Resident Company @ The Conrad
We are thrilled to share that Art of Elan has been selected as one of the inaugural Resident Companies @ The Conrad, a new initiative of La Jolla Music Society launching in the 2025–26 Winter Season.
This three-year residency brings together four of San Diego’s leading classical music organizations: Art of Elan, Bach Collegium San Diego, Camarada, and Mainly Mozart, in a celebration of the strength and vibrancy of our region’s arts community. Together, we’ll help shape The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center into a cultural hub that champions chamber and classical music for generations to come.
For Art of Elan, this partnership is an exciting opportunity to continue cultivating curiosity through adventurous programming while reaching new audiences in a world-class venue. Being part of this cohort of Resident Companies affirms our belief in the power of collaboration and the importance of uniting distinctive artistic voices across San Diego.
We’re grateful to La Jolla Music Society for creating this visionary program, which provides Resident Companies with meaningful support including marketing resources, early booking opportunities, and a consistent venue partnership over the next three years.

Brooklyn RIder String Quartet
Acclaimed string quartet Brooklyn Rider performs its celebrated “Citizenship Notes” program in the intimate space of The JAI. Along with Carnegie Hall, Art of Elan served as a co-commissioner of this special project, which explores themes of civic engagement, belonging and shared responsibility through the music of Haydn, Beethoven and more contemporary voices.

Sounds & Swells
The popular multimedia “Sounds & Swells” series pairs live string quartet music with surf films commissioned by Art of Elan in collaboration with filmmakers from around the world. The program celebrates California's coastal culture while exploring the relationship between music, movement and the natural world.

An evening with Caroline Shaw
One of the most celebrated composers of her generation, Caroline Shaw joins Art of Elan musicians for an intimate evening featuring selections from her groundbreaking body of work.
