Art of Elan returned to The JAI at The Conrad with a performance that features the epic “Death and the Maiden” string quartet by Franz Schubert. This powerful program intentionally set the 200 year-old work in an intimate, contemporary cabaret space where listeners were asked to bring fresh ears to the experience. A complimentary pre-concert talk in the Wu Tsai Courtyard further demystifyed this poignant work, as well as a post-concert Q & A with performing artists Wes Precourt, Kate Hatmaker, Hanah Stuart and Alex Greenbaum.
