Our 16th Season, “Landscapes,” explores the power of creative expression as an agent of change. Landscapes features programming in collaboration with The San Diego Museum of Art, Mingei International Museum, Institute for Contemporary Art San Diego (ICA), and A Reason To Survive (ARTS). This collection of distinct concert events are centered around a shared humanity and responsibility to care for each other and the world around us by exploring our collective stories through the eyes of composers, considering urban cultural landscapes, and raising awareness of the global refugee crisis.

Landscapes includes world premieres of Art of Elan commissioned works by Rand Steiger and Yale Strom, as well as San Diego premieres of works by Samuel Adams, Juhi Bansal, Carlos Camacho, Jonathan Bailey Holland, Michael Oesterle, Derrick Skye, and Michi Wiancko, among others. More than ten new pieces by this year’s Young Artists in Harmony student composers premiered by Art of Elan musicians. This season also features additional collaborations with artist-in-residencies at the Institute for Contemporary Art San Diego (ICA). Click here for the full season schedule.
